Utopia wildlife rehabilitation
Our community partner is Utopia Wildlife Rehabilitation located in Hope, Indiana. Click the link above to learn more about this amazing organization.
On September 3rd, Utopia visited our 4th graders. Kathy Hershey, the president of the organization, brought many animals native to Indiana that Utopia has helped to nurse back to health. Some of the animals included were the Screech Owl, the Barn Owl, Baby Opossums, a Bald Eagle, and Turkey Vulture. The students loved seeing the animals and learning about what makes each one special.
Our fourth graders understand how important animals are to our communities and world. We gladly accepted the challenge of helping Utopia help these animals. Students are currently working on ideas that will get our entire school involved in helping Utopia. Check back to find out how we decided to help.
